This year’s Summer Sound System event does not stop at the arenas; for the first time we are offering a true weekender festival with camping to give you the true festival experience. We are providing camping facilities for 20,000 weekend ticket holders complete with toilets, lighting and security. So if you fancy yourself as the next Ray Mears, want to relive Woodstock or prefer to go festival chic then we’ve got it all for you this year. VIP Camping
This year Gatecrasher is offering you an extra special VIP camping offering that will include a separate field closer to the arenas and attractions. The entire area will be secure, manned and well lit 24 hours a day for the whole weekend. This area has its own high quality showers blocks, shops and parking alongside the campsite to save your weary legs and give you an oasis of calm and privacy away from the baying crowds. Within the cost of the VIP package comes full access to the VIP areas and the secrets that lie within.
Boutique Camping
Gatecrasher have teamed up with boutiquecamping.net to offer you an upgrade to your festival camping experience, so if you like to do it in style, you need those creature comforts or simply want to treat yourself to something a little more special, then look no further.
Boutique Camping offer a fresh, new concept in festival camping set-up to provide stunning and funky places to stay at your favourite festival fields across the land. Whether you want a super stylish furnished tipi, a sumptuous bohemian bivouac or one of their incredible converted double decker buses, rest assured you will be very impressed!
Browse the accommodation on offer and book your crash-pad all in one place, knowing that when you get to the festival site our team will be expecting you at our on-site check-in and reception. For 2008, our Summer Sound System festival boutique camping village will also provide access to the best toilets and showers around as an all inclusive provision.

IMPORTANT: Please be advised that under NO circumstances must anyone arrive on site on Friday 23rd may. There will be nowhere for you to pitch the tent, you will endanger yourselves as it will still be a working site and you could jeopardise the future of the event, if we get a build up of traffic before the show starts properly and if you do arrive early we will stop you from entering the event at all. NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED ON SITE BEFORE 10AM ON SATURDAY 24TH MAY.
